Jenna Bush Hager is always looking out for her girl Hoda Kotb in the love department, and Friday’s installment of Today with Hoda & Jenna was no different.

It all went down this morning after Kotb pointed out a “theme in a lot of movies lately.”

“There’s an older woman and a younger, sexier guy,” she said.

Bush Hager teased, “Are you manifesting something right here?”

While Kotb began to argue that she was talking about Laura Dern starring alongside Liam Hemsworth in Netflix’s Lonely Planet, Bush Hager was not so sure.

“No, I think you’re manifesting something,” she doubled down. “Listen, we all remember when Trevor Noah was on the show.”

Kotb admitted that Noah is “so adorable” and even “kind of reminds” her of a man from her past.

“When I was in seventh grade, I slow-danced with this kid named Evan Harris,” she recalled, “And I remember it like it was yesterday for some reason.”

Bush Hager asked if Harris “had those dimples,” to which Kotb clarified that Harris had “the vibe of Trevor.”

“It was the total vibe,” she shared. “And I thought Evan Harris right when he walked in. It was so weird.”

Bush Hager quipped, “Anyway, let’s go ahead and keep manifesting what you’re looking for in your next chapter.”

Kotb continued dishing on the new rom-com, teasing that “it’s all out.” Once Bush Hager learned that the film takes place in Morocco, she asked, “I mean, what country could be sexier? You tell me.”

“It’s a writers’ retreat? In Morocco?” she continued.

Kotb told Bush Hager, “This is your Rosetta Stone. It’s all happening.”

Bush Hager added, “I go to writers’ retreat? In Morocco? I’m Laura Dern, Liam is there. OK, so anyway, there is a theme about this.”

The two co-hosts brought up Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron in A Family Affair, as well as Anne Hathaway in The Idea of You, as examples of women being romantically involved with younger men onscreen.

Bush Hager said, “Remember when we used to make vision boards about this show?” as Kotb replied, “Please don’t. Please don’t do this.”

Bush Hager joked, “When you start to make vision boards you can just put Trevor Noah here, Liam Hemsworth [here].”
