NextImg:Jenna Bush Hager Shuts Down Trolls Who Told Them To “Fire The Stylist” On ‘Today’: “We Don’t Want You To Go Anywhere!”

Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb let their fans choose their outfits for Thursday’s (Oct. 26) broadcast but the fan response was not pretty, to say the least.

The Today show executive producer, Talia Parkinson-Jones, unveiled three different outfit choices for each host during a segment called “Choose the Look” on Wednesday’s (Oct. 25) episode. They then let their audience choose an outfit for them to wear on social media, but their fans left many negative comments urging them to “fire the stylist.”

Despite the backlash, Kotb and Bush Hager still wore the outfits their fans chose while shutting down the haters.

“Thank you Talia, and Talia, I hope you didn’t read the comments, because they weren’t true,” Bush Hager told their executive producer.

“Well people said, ‘Fire the stylist,’ and we don’t want you to go anywhere!” Bush Hager explained to Kotb, who seemed unaware of the fan response.

But their EP didn’t seem too phased as she told the Today hosts, “People were kind of hating a little bit but I think you guys look fabulous.”

Bush Hager and Kotb continued defending Parkinson-Jones against the hate as they gushed over their new looks. Kotb also praised Parkinson-Jones often for pushing them to “step out of our comfort zone.”

The Today co-hosts shared a hilarious moment when they stepped out on stage in their new outfits, however.

“By the way, that looks so cute on you. Do you feel comfortable?” Kotb asked her co-host. “Let me explain something, sometimes when you have cleavage you don’t feel comfortable… You stand a certain way when you don’t feel comfortable.”

“Is it too much cleavage?” Bush Hager worried as she adjusted her dress.

The episode later took a turn when Bush Hager looked back on the “childhood wounds” that shaped her growing up as a “chubby little kid.”

Today with Jenna and Hoda airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
