NextImg:Jenna Bush Hager Reveals “The Most Romantic Thing” Her Husband Does Ahead Of Valentine’s Day

Jenna Bush Hager and Today guest host Mikey Day were sharing their plans for Valentine’s Day when she revealed “the most romantic thing” her husband does.

“He sent me flowers recently when I got this job and on the card he said, ‘Are you surprised…?’ And I was, because I get flowers, but usually not from him,” she revealed.

Day laughed as he commented, “Your husband says, ‘Are you surprised I did something for you?'”

With a laugh, Bush Hager added, “And then he said, ‘You shouldn’t be.’ And it was really sweet! I think the most romantic thing he does is he leaves little notes around the house.”

Day told Bush Hager that he thought her comment was going in a different direction. “I thought you were going to end it after ‘leaves.’ The most romantic thing he does is leave, give me some time!” he joked.

He then asked if her husband leaves notes saying she’s beautiful, which Bush Hager quickly shut down.

“Not like that, that’s cheesy,” she responded. “Once we were traveling a lot and he wrote ships passing and he drew a little ship. I like grounded stuff.”

When Bush Hager asked Day if he was “romantic,” the Saturday Night Live comedian jokingly responded, “Occasionally, yeah… [My wife] Paula’s watching going, ‘No.'”

“I’ll do some romantic things here and there and get some flowers,” he added.

Bush Hager, who has been married to her husband since 2008, gave Day some sage advice ahead of Valentine’s Day.

“I suggest, ’cause why not? You’ve been together a long time go ahead and get flowers for her,” she said.

Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
