Jenna Bush Hager got a dramatic haircut on Today With Jenna & Friends while co-hosting the show with The White Lotus star Leslie Bibb.

Bibb has been making headlines thanks to the chic bob she sported on the hit HBO show, courtesy of celebrity stylist Chris McMillan. She revealed on the show that Bush Hager had “vowed to get on board with the bob” when Bibb last visited the show earlier this year. Now, that fateful day has come.

McMillan visited Today With Jenna & Friends to give Bush Hager a haircut live on the show, though viewers did not get to catch the final look.

Bush Hager and Bibb joked about the haircut at the top of the show as the Today host said that it will help refresh her look after experiencing so many changes this year, including having her co-host Hoda Kotb retire. “I’ve been through change, I’m gonna wash the Hoda right out of my hair!” she said, before quickly adding, “I love her and she’s still my friend, but maybe it’s time for a whole new look.”

And McMillan certainly delivered that “new look.” The celebrity stylist is also the mastermind behind Jennifer Aniston’s iconic Friends look that became known as “the Rachel.”

He had to remind Bush Hager to “relax” during the haircut when she realized just how short he was cutting her hair. “Woah, that’s so short. Is it gonna be that short the whole way?” she asked. 

Bush Hager noted that not everyone seemed to be on board with the haircut. She looked out at the crowd of spectators watching outside the studio from Rockefeller Plaza who seemed to be trying to change her mind.

“Oh my gosh, they’re telling me not to do it,” she said. She later mentioned that her daughter also tried to convince her otherwise. “My daughter was like, ‘Mom, don’t do it you’re gonna regret it,'” she admitted.

Bibb tried to give Bush Hager a pep talk during the haircut. “You are such a badass, you’re so cool,” she told Bush Hager. “I love this right now.”

Unfortunately, McMillan was not able to finish the haircut during the final commercial break on the show.

But Bush Hager will debut her new look during Tuesday’s (June 17) broadcast of Today, when Bibb will return to co-host and her movie star husband Sam Rockwell will be visiting.
