Jenna Bush Hager and comedians Heather McMahan and Rosebud Baker were sharing their complaints about going into labor on Today when Bush Hager shared a shocking story that she asked viewers not to “put on the internet.”

Baker was discussing how “confident” husband was when she went into labor with their child, Minnow. The comedian filmed part of her new Netflix stand-up special The Mother Lode while she was several months pregnant with her daughter, and the rest after she gave birth.

“He was so confident walking into the room… the room with the throne and the flat screen TV,” Baker recounted to Bush Hager and McMahan. She then joked, “I know how painful it is for you to be in the room alone with a flat screen TV. I’m getting surgery next door and he’s just having a good time.”

Bush Hager then revealed that her husband scheduled a colonoscopy just days before her scheduled due date.

“My husband got a colonoscopy like two days before,” she said, before quickly adding, “Please don’t put this on the internet.”

The Today host continued, “And I was like, ‘Why are you scheduling this appointment for right – I could be going into labor but here I am picking you up from the clinic.'”

The ladies shared a laugh as Baker commented, “Yes, because he’s like I want my time to shine, thats what it is.’

Bush Hager has become quite tightlipped about her marriage. Hoda Kotb once had to save her from complaining about her husband on the show after Justin Lupe asked if her husband ever gave her the “ick.”

Kotb interjected when she noticed her co-host freeze before she almost answered their guest. “Oh God, don’t, don’t, no, don’t,” she said. “Justine, what happens is it gets in Page Six and then she gets in trouble.”

Kotb added that she is “protecting” Bush Hager “from herself.”
