Today‘s Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb put each other on the hot seat when a discussion about ex-boyfriends arose on the show. While Bush Hager was willing to get candid about her exes, Kotb tried to evade her co-host’s questioning – though she was the one who started the conversation.

“When’s the last time you Googled an ex?” Kotb asked Bush Hager, who did not bat an eyelash as she promptly replied, “I haven’t spent much time Googling exes because I just stalk them on Instagram and other forums.”

She then tried to ask Kotb the same question, who instead decided to divert the conversation by sharing a long response about looking up a football game for her daughter.

“Okay but you didn’t answer my question,” Bush Hager responded. “That was a really long way around [my question].”

With a laugh, Kotb finally decided to share whether she’s ever looked up her ex-boyfriends on the internet.

“I think I’ve googled exes,” she admitted, though she couldn’t recall the last time she did. Kotb said it only happened whenever she gets “bored.”

Bush Hager agreed, adding that the results they find are “usually very disappointing,” like a photo from their law practice or their profile picture on LinkedIn.

“Or some of us have had some mugshots,” she added, referring to herself. “There’s not much to see.”

Kotb agreed that these searches rarely turn up with juicy results. “It is kind of interesting to find out if there is something,” she told her co-host, adding that she would be interested to see if they got married.

When Bush Hager asked if she’s ever found anything “jarring” during these searches, Kotb evasively answered, “I’ve seen a picture or two that was like, ‘Oh okay.'”

“Like, ‘Oh okay I miss you,’ or ‘Oh okay, Houston, we have a problem’?” Bush Hager inquired, while Kotb just laughed in response.

Kotb is usually the first one to offer details about her love life. She once told Bush Hager all about the “full-on make out” she once had in a New York City store that left her worried she might lose her job.

“Oh god, I’m uncomfortable,” Bush Hager said as she began fanning herself from the unexpectedly steamy conversation.
