Jayden Daniels sounds like he’s ready to throw elbows over talk of his odd-shaped throwing elbow.
A photo from the fall went viral and sparked various unscientific theories this week after it showed what appeared to be a golf ball-sized lump attached to Daniels’ right elbow.
The likely top-three pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft finally had enough of the social-media speculation by Friday.
“my elbow is perfectly fine .. stop the cap!!” Daniels wrote on X, adding a cap emoji and a yawning face emoji.
“Cap” is a slang term for a lie.
“Throw elbows” is a term used for fighting, especially in a crowded space.
The Post previously asked Dr. Laith M. Jazrawi, the Chief of the Division of Sports Medicine at NYU Langone Orthopedics, for his opinion on what could be behind the inflamed look of Daniels’ elbow.
“He has olecranon bursitis,” said Dr. Jazrawi, who has not examined Daniels.
The doctor described the symptoms as swelling and “sometimes pain, sometimes no pain,” and said it can be treated with a cortisone injection or surgery that requires a 2-3 week downtime recovery.
Like almost all top NFL prospects, Daniels went through an extensive medical checkup in February at the NFL Combine.
The information is shared among all 32 teams, which means major concerns often leak out into the media despite the expectation of patient privacy.

Daniels obviously wasn’t too affected by his elbow last season, as he won the Heisman Trophy by throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with just four interceptions at LSU.
He is considered the favorite to be the No. 2 pick to the Commanders, though there is a chance he could slip to the Patriots at No. 3 if Washington prefers Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy or North Carolina’s Drake Maye.
Daniels wore long sleeves on a sweatshirt honoring his cancer-stricken teammate Greg Brooks Jr. during LSU’s Pro Day earlier this week.
