Fox Sports radio host Jason McIntyre is feeling the heat from the Windy City.

During Wednesday’s installment of “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” McIntyre compared the city of Chicago to Afghanistan, which ruffled the feathers of some on social media.

McIntyre asked Cowherd the top three cities he’d like to live in America currently.

“Chicago is an unbelievable city,” Cowherd said. “I got a beach right at the city.”

McIntyre, with bulging eyes, was stunned.

“It’s like a war zone right now,” he said. “It’s like Afghanistan. Are you kidding me?”

Cowherd disagreed.

“No it’s not,” he hit back. “Chicago is great.”

Cowherd added that he likes living in his current home city of Los Angeles, and also enjoys Vancouver.

Some people weren’t happy with McIntyre over his comments, including Shane Riordan, a producer for Chicago’s “670 The Score.”

“Keep Chicago out of your f–king mouth, @jasonrmcintyre,” Riordan wrote Wednesday on Twitter. “You are both uninformed and disgusting.”

In a separate tweet, Riordan wrote: “I can’t get over this. Jason is such a piece of s–t.”

Later in the show, McIntyre circled back to his comments, adding that the city of Chicago probably hates “The Herd” after “my comments about 20 minutes ago.”

McIntyre did not repeat his comments at the time.

Afterward, McIntyre took to Twitter with a few compliments about Chicago.

“Thanks. Great show today, lots of fun, lots of laughs,” he wrote in a reply tweet to a listener of the show.

“Also, hello, Chicago! That Toddlin’ Town. Wrigleyville rules. Alinea [restaurant] the best meal I’ve ever had. Haven’t been in 15 years, go Bears!”

In a separate tweet, former NFL safety, Will Blackmon wrote, “Chicago is my favorite city right now @colincowherd @jasonmcintyre.”
