Jason Kelce is calling it a career after 13 NFL seasons.
The Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center told his teammates in the locker room after Monday’s season-ending wild-card loss to the Buccaneers that he is retiring, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 36-year-old future Hall-of-Famer was visibly upset on the sidelines at the end of Philadelphia’s 32-9 loss at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay.
Kelce, who’s previously considered retirement, has six All-Pro selections and seven Pro Bowls under his belt.
He announced last March that he would “return for another year after walking it over with my wife and many other friends and family.”
Taking to Twitter (now X) at the time, Kelce wrote in part, “I have put much thought into whether it makes sense to play another season.”
Kelce and his wife, Kylie McDevitt Kelce welcomed a baby girl, Bennett Llewellyn Kelce, last February — making them a family of five.
The newborn joined big sisters Elliotte Ray, (two and a half), and 4-year-old Wyatt.
Kelce, who was selected by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, has spent his entire career with Philadelphia.
He won Super Bowl 2018 with the Eagles.
