James Kennedy is no longer the No. 1 guy in the group. The Vanderpump Rules star has reportedly been arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence, according to a new report by TMZ.

Law enforcement reportedly told the outlet that police were dispatched to a home in Burbank, CA after receiving a call about an argument between Kennedy and an unnamed woman Tuesday night (Dec. 10). A witness saw Kennedy allegedly grab the woman, though police did not see any visible injuries on her.

Following an investigation, police determined that it was a domestic incident, ultimately resulting in Kennedy’s arrest. He was reportedly released after posting a $20k bail and Burbank City Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case for possible charges, per TMZ.

The incident comes weeks after Bravo announced that Vanderpump Rules would be getting rebooted with an entirely new cast.

DECIDER has reached out to Kennedy’s reps for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

Kennedy, who was previously engaged to Rachel “Raquel” Leviss prior to her affair with Tom Sandoval, has been dating Ally Lewber since January 2022. They had both attended Kathy Hilton‘s holiday party the night of his arrest.

This is not the first time Kennedy has been accused of domestic violence. Kristen Doute, who dated the DJ from 2014 to 2015, seemingly confirmed abuse allegations on her podcast earlier this year.

“Does James have a DJ name? DJ Beats … Women, allegedly?” Doute’s now-fiancé Luke Broderick said on the podcast, to which Doute replied, “No. It’s not alleged. We’ll talk about it soon.”

Lewber, for her part, defended Kennedy after Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp hinted that they were driving in a car with the couple when a fight broke out and they had to be separated.

“That makes me really sad, because no, I’m good. That never happened,” Lewber explained on a February episode of Scheana Shay‘s Scheananigans podcast, per RealityTea. “There was no physical altercation. Yes, we were in the car together. I thought we were having fun.”

“James and I did get into an argument, but there was no physical assault,” she dded. “I was not bleeding, and they didn’t have to get out of the car and separate us. So that didn’t happen. That’s all I’ll say on that.”

At the time, Lewber also promised, “I’m good and I’m safe and I love him.”
