NextImg:Jalen Hurts ends Eagles press conference after knee injury question

Jalen Hurts appears fed up with questions about his lingering left knee injury.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, who glossed over inquiries about his knee after Sunday’s 38-31 win over the Washington Commanders, got up and left the podium during Wednesday’s press conference when one reporter asked about the injury.

“I gotta ask, anything new with the knee,” the reporter queried. “Feeling better? Feeling worse? Different? Anything?”

Hurts smirked and laughed before he shook his head and tapped the table two times.

“Alright, that’s what I thought,” the reporter said as the quarterback walked away. “Thanks. It was worth a shot.”

Hurts received “some form of treatment” on his knee for 67 minutes following Sunday’s win at Washington, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Following the treatment, Hurts arrived at his postgame press conference, where he played coy when he was asked repeatedly about his knee.

“I’m here,” Hurts said. “I told you guys I don’t really want to speak on it anymore. I’m out there.”

Prior to Sunday’s game, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer said Hurts “has been dealing with a bone bruise in his knee for four weeks.”

Glazer also reported that Hurts “re-aggravated” the injury after he “took a helmet to [his left knee] last week” in a win over the Dolphins.

Hurts threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns to secure another Eagles’ win Sunday.

Over his past two games, he’s thrown for six touchdowns, 598 yards and an interception.

But it’s a matter of how long Hurts can play through injury, especially with the Eagles schedule ahead.

Philadelphia will face Dallas twice, Kansas City, Buffalo and San Francisco in the coming weeks.

“He’s not always going to tell me how he feels,” head coach Nick Sirianni said after Sunday’s game. “He always wants it on him, and that’s what you want from your quarterback.

“He played outstanding — completely outstanding. What you see is how good he’s playing in the pocket when he’s not playing the best that he can feel.”
