The wives of Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart reflected on an unforgettable Knicks season.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday — one day after the Knicks fell to the Pacers, 130-109, in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals — Ali Brunson posted a heartfelt message to husband Brunson, the Knicks’ star guard, as their playoff run ended.
“So so many reasons to be proud this season,” Ali captioned a photo of Brunson, 27, in action.
“New York forever.”
Brunson scored 17 points and had nine assists in Sunday’s elimination contest before exiting early in the second half due to a fractured hand.
He entered the game leading the league in postseason scoring with an average of 33.7 points.
“We didn’t use excuses and we kept finding ways. That was our mindset. I’m so glad we had that mindset,” Brunson said. “The outcome isn’t what we wanted but the way we fought … it was awesome.”
Ali, who wed Brunson last summer after announcing their engagement in September 2022, supported the Knicks during their playoff run.
Earlier this month, she congratulated the Knicks after their Game 6 win over the Sixers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
“Go New York Go New York Go,” Ali wrote in an Instagram Story.
Much like Ali, Shannon Hart — the wife of Knicks guard Hart — commemorated her husband in a touching Instagram post.
“Beyond proud of this guy,” she began Monday in an Instagram Story. “Your [sic] truly the toughest and hardest working guy I know and I can’t wait for our boys to take after you!”
Hart, a former first-round pick who wed Shannon in 2021 and shares 1-year-old twin boys Haze and Hendrix, had 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists Sunday as he grappled with an abdominal strain.
The 29-year-old Hart received a standing ovation from fans inside Madison Square Garden.
Hart and Brunson, who won a national championship together at Villanova in 2016, greeted fans outside of MSG following Sunday’s loss.
