Jake Paul will continue his boxing career with a fight against former UFC superstar Nate Diaz on Aug. 5 in Dallas, Texas.
The fight, which was confirmed by Diaz on Twitter on Wednesday, will take place at the American Airlines Center.
Since making the leap to boxing, Paul has fought seven times and amassed a 6-1 record with four knockouts.
His lone loss came in his last bout against professional boxer Tommy Fury, the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
Although Paul’s first two professional fights were against overmatched opponents without professional fighting experience, he has begun to put together fights with more formidable opposition since embarrassing former NBA player Nate Robinson.
After that bout, Paul has fought and defeated former MMA champions Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley (twice), and Anderson Silva.
Paul knocked out each of them, though his first fight with Woodley ended in a split-decision for Paul.
Despite the fact that Diaz has made his living in professional fighting and is known to have terrific boxing skills for an MMA fighter, bookmakers have installed Paul as the betting favorite to win.

At the time of writing, Paul’s moneyline odds are -240, while Diaz is a +184 underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook.
The odds were pulled for a short time but remain available for betting at the time of writing.
In most sports, that price would make Paul a significant favorite, but huge moneylines are not uncommon in boxing.
So relatively speaking, this is actually seen as a pretty tight contest.
But the odds do tell us that bookies and the betting public do give Paul some credit for the way he’s looked in the ring over the past three years.
It should also be noted that Paul is the bigger man in this tussle, which will take place at 185 pounds.
Diaz has fought at lightweight (146 pounds to 155) and welterweight (156 pounds to 170) in his UFC career.
Betting interest for this fight won’t really start to show up until we get closer to the fight date, but it will be interesting to see if the market continues to push this number toward Paul or if Diaz money will show up at some point.
