Jake Paul made his first public comment on Monday afternoon since details emerged about a medical scare that Mike Tyson had during a cross-country flight on Sunday.
Tyson’s reps told The Post that the famed boxer was dealing with nausea and dizziness due to an ulcer flare-up that occurred 30 minutes before the flight from Miami to Los Angeles had landed.
Tyson and Paul are slated to fight on July 20 in Arlington, Texas and the latter made sure to shut down any suggestion that the fight would not go on as scheduled.
“You love to make s–t up before knowing the facts for clicks/likes. Nothing changed,” Paul wrote on X.
The fight will be streamed live on Netflix and Paul has already said he will end Tyson’s career.
“But what I promise to the people on July 20th: Mike will be put to sleep and he will feel my power,” Paul said. “I will go down as the man who put Tyson to sleep for the last time.”
The health scare understandably raised some concerns around the fight with social media users calling on Netflix or Paul to call off the bout, including in the replies to Paul’s tweet about nothing changing.
Tyson is said to be “doing great,” according to his representatives.
It has also given other fighters looking to jump into the limelight a chance to make headlines, with Ryan Garcia volunteering to take Tyson’s place if he couldn’t go for the fight.
“If Mike can’t fight I’ll sub in,” Garcia wrote on X.

However, with Paul’s post, it doesn’t seem like he had any interest in taking Garcia up on the offer.
The Netflix fight is an officially sanctioned boxing match by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations and is being classified as a heavyweight bout.
