A press conference for the Saturday’s Jake Paul-Nate Diaz fight descended into all-out chaos on Thursday.
A brawl broke out on stage between the two security teams of Diaz and Paul.
Video of the kerfuffle appeared to show Diaz exchanging words with Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian when security jumped in.
That’s when one member of a fighter’s group shoved another to spark the brawl.
Punches can be seen being thrown, but neither fighter was directly involved in the melee.
The two sides were quickly separated, and the situation was de-escalated.
Paul later ran to Twitter to claim that Diaz’s team is threatening legal action over the incident.
“Nate’s team has emailed my team trying to claim assault after his team swung first,” the YouTuber-turned-boxer wrote. “Apparently the guy who swung first is at the hospital getting stitches. Hilarious these fake gangsters acting like this!”
It’s unclear who swung first in the scuffle during the final media event before the fight on Saturday night at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Paul continued to speak out about the brawl in a second, lengthier tweet an hour after his first post.
“All out warfare, eye for eye,” Paul wrote. “You threatened MVPs co-founder who has been a partner to you and your team every step of the way? He’s put your best friend on over and over again. Stupid. Then your team wants to swing on us…so you got served a three piece and a biscuit. Punk. It’s time for goodnight.”
The two had heated exchanges earlier in the event while taking questions from the press, according to TMZ.
Saturday’s fight will mark Diaz’s first time in the boxing ring after becoming a household name for his skills in MMA.
Paul is coming off a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury back in February.
The social media star made the jump to the boxing ring in January 2020 and has gone 6-1 with four knockouts.
