Jake Paul made a harrowing child abuse accusation against his father Greg Paul in the Netflix documentary anthology series Untold. According to the boxer, Greg would “slap the shit out of” him when he was younger.
Untold: Jake Paul the Problem Child, which dropped on the streaming platform today, follows the star’s rise to fame on YouTube and, now, in boxing. In the revealing episode, Jake and his brother, Logan Paul, open up about their complex relationship with their father.
“Our parents were really strict and mainly my dad — it was always Logan and I against him,” Jake says, before later claiming, “Yeah, my dad would slap the shit out of me. I don’t resent it. I’m understanding of why he did that — that’s all he knew.”
Despite describing their father a “menace” and “intense,” Logan downplays his brother’s abuse allegations.
“Holy shit. Yo, Greg Paul is a fucking being. He’s a menace. That guy’s intense,” he says. “Jake may throw around the word abusive. I prefer ‘not quite legal.'”

Meanwhile, Greg, who is also featured in the documentary, insists that his parenting techniques made his children “better,” before denying that he ever hit Jake and Logan.
“I never laid hands on my kids,” he said. “I did tell him, I said, ‘Jake, I did pick you up and throw you on a couch couple times.’ [He said], ‘Well, I was afraid of you.’ I’m like, ‘That’s what the fuck dads are supposed to do.'”
Greg continued, “Somebody comes in here, they start harassing everybody and smacking around an old lady — do you want a couple Greg Pauls in the room or do you want some fucking fairy fuck, whiny little bitch who’s gonna sit there and talk about emotions? Who do you want in the room?”
While Jake attributes “pretty much all of [his] success” to his father, Logan reveals that the former Disney Channel star is “still traumatized to this day about how [their] dad treated him.” He adds that they “still don’t get along like they should” — and claims their recent estrangement was due to the alleged abuse.
“Jake’s birthday, we all flew to Utah in this cabin. Jake was pretty fucked up, so was my dad. There was a big group of people there. Jake mentioned my dad abusing him as a child,” Logan recalls. “They got in a huge argument and it hurt Jake so much that my dad refused to acknowledge the physical hardship that he put us through when we were young.”
Both brothers have endured their own strings of legal woes. A year after the FBI raided Jake’s house and seized several firearms, he was accused by TikTok star Justine Paradise of sexually assaulting her in 2019. The scandals led to Disney cutting ties with the influencer, who previously starred on Bizaardvark.
“Both my dad and I felt worried for my brother’s life,” Logan says in the documentary. “Jake’s always been pretty emotionally unpredictable and volatile. There was a point where we were both legitimately concerned that Jake was going to kill himself.”
