The Islanders inked second-round pick Daniil Prokhorov to a three-year entry-level contract Tuesday morning, the team announced, making him their second 2025 draft pick to sign after Matthew Schaefer.
Exact terms were not immediately available.

Prokhorov, a 6-foot-6 right wing, stood out at rookie camp in July for his size.
The 18-year-old Prokhorov is set to play this season in Russia on a two-way deal with Dynamo Moscow, allowing him to play in both the KHL and the second-division MHL, where he played last season with Dynamo St. Petersburg.
“I can’t even pronounce his name, but Prokhorov, quite impressive,” AHL Bridgeport coach Rocky Thompson said. “Cause he doesn’t speak any English and you saw his emotion. He kinda was really a contagious personality with his teammates, which was good.
“I’m not evaluating people, but he popped in the [scrimmage]. Just popped out and, it was weird, your eyes got drawn to him for some reason. I think he was doing good things on the ice.”
