The lengths golfers will go for a birdie.

Isi Gabsa’s ball may have killed — or at least seriously wounded — a bird on the 12th hole Thursday during the opening round of the U.S. Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania.

It’s unclear whether Gabsa yelled “fore” before her Randy Johnson impression.

“On the list of bizarre things that we have seen on the 12th hole, this one is kinda sad, takes the cake,” Brandel Chamblee said during Peacock/Golf Channel’s Golf Central Live broadcast. “Just a bird sitting on the green, minding its own business.”

“Brutal,” co-host Kira K. Dixon added. “That’s nothing you ever want to see on the golf course.”

In a scene straight out of “Caddyshack,” or the latest season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Gabsa seemingly ended a bird’s life upon teeing off from the par-3 12th hole and hitting a drive to the green.

Unfortunately, the ball’s path was interrupted by a flying bird.

The ball collided with the bird, veering to the right while the bird fell to the earth.

The bird laid prone — or, to be blunt, dead — before a tournament official came over and picked it up bare-handed to remove it from the course.

Gabsa, from Germany, persevered through the awkward moment to post par.

The scene harkened a callback to Johnson’s famous spring training incident in 2001 when the Hall of Famer, then with the Diamondbacks, killed a bird with a pitch, with the creature’s white feathers exploding off its body as a collective “Ohh” came over the crowd in Arizona.

“I didn’t think it was all that funny,” Johnson said, according to ESPN.

Added catcher Rod Barajas: “I’m sitting there waiting for it, and I’m expecting to catch the thing, and all you see is an explosion. It’s crazy. There’s still feathers down there.”

Quite a few X users joked Thursday about the comparisons.

“Randy Johnson’s smiling somewhere,” tweeted CBS’ Patrick McDonald.

The 12th hole apparently is straight out of hell for this year’s participants, with tournament favorite Nelly Korda posting a horrendous 10-over par that could possibly sink her chances of winning.
