NextImg:Is 'Yellowstone' on Paramount Network tonight? Season 5 2024 return date info

Where to Stream:

Yellowstone

Powered by Reelgood

I’ve settled into a pretty nice Sunday night routine over the past couple of weeks. I watch a new episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm (and try to ignore the show’s JG Wentworth earworm), enjoy a little bit of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and then hit the hay. Is it fun? Sure. Is it the perfect Sunday night? Nope.

The one thing missing is an all-new episode of Yellowstone.

The last new installment of Taylor Sheridan’s beloved Western saga aired on January 1. That’s not too bad, right? Wrong. It was January 1, 2023. When will Kayce, Beth, Rip, and the rest of the gang return? That’s the million-dollar question. Here’s everything we know.

Nope. Paramount Network is once again broadcasting a Bar Rescue marathon. Seasons 1-3 of Yellowstone previously aired on CBS on Sunday nights, but that won’t be the case tonight because the network is broadcasting new episodes of The Equalizer, CSI: Vegas, and Tracker.

The plan is for the second half of Season 5 to premiere in November 2024 on Paramount Network. Two new spinoffs — currently titled 1944 and 2024 — are also in the works.

No plot details for 1944 or 2024 were announced, but Variety reports that 2024 is expected to begin airing following the conclusion of Yellowstone, with the show featuring “new cast members and locations with some crossover characters as well.” This is the series that could potentially include Matthew McConaughey, who’s been rumored to star in a Yellowstone spinoff since April 2023.

Production on the final episodes of the fifth and final season will reportedly begin in late spring 2024, but Costner’s level of involvement in the remaining installments is still unclear. The actor revealed in a September court trial that he was initially offered $24 million to do Seasons 5, 6, and 7 of Yellowstone but there were “issues with creative.”

Per Deadline, another source of contention centered around the star’s shooting schedule. Costner reportedly wanted more time to spend on his upcoming multi-part Western movie Horizon: An American Saga, a film in which he starred, directed, co-wrote, and produced.

The situation remains in flux — Costner said in September that he’ll “probably go to court” over his Yellowstone exit — so it’s safe to say that he almost certainly won’t be involved in future spinoffs.

Yellowstone isn’t currently streaming on Netflix in the United States, but all five seasons are on Peacock Premium. Individual episodes and complete seasons are also available to purchase on Amazon.

Part 1 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 28, with Part 2 debuting on August 16.
