Is The View getting rid of Whoopi Goldberg after 16 years? While fans may have feared the worst when the show’s Season 27 promo video was released last week, we can happily report that she will, indeed, be back.

Goldberg — who stars on the long-running show alongside Sunny HostinSara HainesAna NavarroJoy Behar and Alyssa Farah Griffin — was noticeably absent throughout much of the teaser for the upcoming season, leaving fans who didn’t watch the entire video worried for her future on the series. However, those who hung on until the end were relieved to see the longtime moderator’s cheeky appearance.

So, is Whoopi Goldberg coming back to The View? When will The View return with new episodes?

We have the answers to all of your burning questions. Keep reading for more information.

We have good news! Goldberg, along with the rest of the previous season’s cast, will be returning for Season 27.

The View isn’t airing a new episode today — or for the rest of August — as the ladies are currently on their annual summer hiatus. Instead, ABC will play reruns of previous episodes. Check out the full schedule below.

The co-hosts are set to return to The View for Season 27 after Labor Day — on Tuesday, Sept. 5, to be exact.

The View might not be airing new episodes for the rest of the month, but ABC will be playing reruns, meaning you can catch up on anything you might’ve missed!
