Twilight sustains its hold on the pop culture zeitgeist long after its release.

Stephenie Meyer‘s paranormal romance novel series spawned a cultural phenomenon, and once it was adapted for the screen, made stars out of the actors that formed its core love triangle: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.

News broke in September 2024 that Meyer’s Midnight Sun, will become a Netflix animated series. The book, which is told from Edward Cullen’s POV, was released in 2020. According to Netflix’s Tudum, Meyer is an executive producer on the new series.

Meanwhile Lautner is seemingly paying homage to his pivotal role of werewolf Jacob Black in Taylor Lautner: Werewolf Hunter, which is reportedly in the works at Amazon. According to the show’s logline (via Variety), the show will see Lautner “drawn into a secret society of werewolf trackers who need his unique expertise.”

“As he navigates his double life—Hollywood actor by day, supernatural warrior by night—Taylor must wrestle with the ultimate irony: fighting the very creatures that made him famous,” the logline continues. “Between saving the world, reviving his career, and falling in love, he faces the ultimate question—what happens when your biggest role becomes your greatest enemy?”

Nonetheless, until those projects come to fruition, fans can binge the original film series. Where, you might ask? DECIDER’s here to shed some (twi)light on where the Twilight films are streaming.
