NextImg:Is There an End Credits Scene in ‘Barbie’? What to Know Before You Watch

Barbie has been projected to be the one of the summer’s biggest blockbusters. Fans have been flocking to theaters, many decked out in posh pink attire and dressed up as their favorite version of the Mattel doll, in order to discover how the director of Barbie, Greta Gerwig, unfolded the story of the iconic toy.

The film has notably been placed against its opening weekend rival Oppenheimer in the phenomenon called “Barbenheimer,” where fans are crafting plans to see both in a daring double feature (especially given that Nolan’s film is a whopping three hours long).

Nonetheless, fans scheduling their weekends around Barbenheimer may be interested in knowing the logistics of Gerwig’s film and whether or not they should consider staying until the credits finish.

Is there an end credits scene in Barbie? How can I watch Barbie?

Read on to find out what to know before you watch!

Unfortunately, the short answer is no, there is no Barbie after credit scene. Theater-goers who stay until the lights come up and the projector shuts off will not catch any more deleted scenes or additional content. Collider did note that the credits sporadically feature “some of the versions of past Barbies that the movie itself riffed upon,” which for nostalgic fans, may be “kenough” to stick around for.

Additionally, the credits do feature some hits from the star-studded film soundtrack, per Mashable. The album’s artist line-up includes Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, Billie Eilish, and more.

Currently, Barbie is only available to watch in theaters, as today marks its official release date. However, since the film was released by Warner Bros, it is likely that Barbie may make its way over to Max when it hits streaming.

Nonetheless, Max’s recent deals with other platforms such as Netflix have made some of its library’s originals non-exclusive, which may mean Barbie might be eventually spotted on other streaming services, as well.
