More On:

true crime

We’ve been watching a lot of Paramount+ lately.

New episodes of 1923 drop on Sunday mornings, fresh installments of Yellowjackets debut Friday mornings, and the streamer has a slew of buzzy new movies like Better Man, Strange Darling, September 5, Smile 2, and Gladiator II.

The platform recently threw another log on the fire with the premiere of Jennifer Cacicio’s true crime drama Happy Face. Starring Annaleigh Ashford, Dennis Quaid, James Wolk, and Tamera Tomakili, the series centers on a serial killer (the Happy Face Killer) who admits to a new murder as a way to reconnect with his daughter. Based on Melissa Moore’s book and podcast, Decider’s Joel Keller gave the series a “Stream It” recommendation, praising the performances by Ashford and Quaid.

The first two episodes of Happy Face are streaming on Paramount+, but what if you’re looking to learn a little more about the source material? Is there a Happy Face Killer documentary on Netflix? Here’s everything you need to know.

The first two episodes of Happy Face premiered Thursday, March 20 on Paramount+.

Yes! The final two episodes of Catching Killers Season 1 (“True Lies: The Happy Face Killer Parts 1 and 2”) center on the notorious serial killer.

Another documentary, The Happy Face Killer: Mind of a Monster, is available to stream on the Investigation Discovery website.
