The View

If you were hoping to settle down with The View while you wrap some gifts or bake some cookies this morning, we’re sorry to say that you won’t be seeing anything new from the Hot Topics table. Instead, The View is airing a re-run today.

The last time we saw the ladies, they celebrated their final holiday show of the season on Dec. 20. At the start of the program, the co-hosts discussed the “resting gift face” phenomenon of pretending to love a gift you don’t really like so much.

Joy Behar said it’s not difficult to lie and seem like you enjoy a present you would have rather not received. She joked, “It’s really nothing. It’s not that hard. It’s like faking an orgasm. Piece of cake,” then, doing her very best acting, she exclaimed, “Wooow! Oh, God! I love it! Oh, my God!”

Later, when Jamie Lee Curtis joined the ladies around the table, she also had a rather filthy remark to make about the holiday season. After handing out presents to Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin, Curtis admitted, “I am Scrooge’s slightly slutty sister,” prompting Behar to jokingly ask, “Slightly?”

It’s moments like these that keep us tuning in every day! If you’re wondering why The View is airing re-runs, why The View is on hiatus and when The View will be back, you’ve come to to the right spot. Here’s everything we know.

Thankfully, The View has not been canceled. The show isn’t airing new episodes this week because they are on a holiday hiatus. The next two weeks will feature encore episodes of The View before the show returns with its regularly scheduled programming in the new year.
