Liam Neeson may be 72, but he’s still chasing down bad guys in his latest action movie, Absolution. That’s pretty spry for an old guy!
Directed by Norwegian filmmaker Hans Petter Moland, with a screenplay by Tony Gayton, Absolution stars Neeson as an aging gangster trying to reconnect with his children and atone for the sins of his past. But that’s easier said than done—especially when the criminal underworld still has their eyes on Neeson.
Also starring Ron Perlman, Yolonda Ross, and Daniel Diemer, Absolution is a crime thriller that promises to deliver all of the exciting action that Liam Neeson fans have come to expect from the last twenty years of his career. And, clearly, he’s not done making movies like this yet,
Read on for all the info you need about where to watch the Liam Neeson movie Absolution, and when we expect to see the Liam Neeson movie Absolution on streaming.
For now, Absolution will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in select theaters in the U.S. on Friday, November 1. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Absolution is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Absolution is not streaming on Netflix or Max right now. While it’s possible Absolution may stream on Netflix or Max someday, it won’t be until after the theatrical run and digital release of the movie. Absolution is not a Netflix original, nor is it a Warner Bro’s movie (which is the studio that owns HBO and Max). Absolution is a small, independent film being distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films in the U.S.
You will be able to purchase Absolution on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Absolution on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch Absolution movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms.

The Absolution digital release date has not yet been announced. However, we can make an educated guess as to when we might see Absolution on video-on-demand, based on the digital release of previous films from this studio, Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Another Samuel Goldwyn Films movie, Outlaw Johnny Black, was released in theaters on September 15, 2023 and was released on digital platforms on November 3, 2023—about seven weeks after opening in theaters. If Absolution follows a similar pattern, you might see the new Liam Neeson movie Absolution on video-on-demand around mid-to-late December 2024, or seven weeks after the movie opens in theaters.
But this is all speculation. Digital releases vary by title. If you want to see Absolution right away, you can catch the movie in a theater.
