NextImg:Is the 'Him' movie Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

Him, the new Jordan Peele-produced movie opening in movie theaters this weekend, posits that the National Football League is a terrifying cult. Finally, someone said it.

Directed by Justin Tipping, Him was co-written by Tipping, Skip Bronkie, and Zack Akers. (Despite being talked about as a “new Jordan Peele movie,” Peele did not write or direct. However, Peele did produce via his Monkeypaw Productions.) This new horror movie stars Marlon Wayans as Isaiah White, a fictional NFL quarterback who mentors a young up-and-coming player named Cam (played by Tyriq Withers). Cam knows his training will be intense, but he wasn’t exactly expecting so much blood, violence, and cult-like rituals.

Also starring Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, and Jim Jefferies, Him sounds like the perfect way to kick off the spooky season box office. But if you’d rather wait to watch Him at home, then read on to find out when we expect to be able to watch the Him 2025 movie on streaming.

Him will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. on Friday, September 19, in theaters nationwide. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Him is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Him is not streaming on Netflix, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Universal release. Almost all Universal movies go to the NBCUniversal streaming platform, Peacock.

You will be able to purchase Him on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital. You will eventually be able to stream Him on Prime Video, free with a Prime subscription, four months after the movie streams on Peacock. This is thanks to the deal between Universal and Amazon that sends Universal movies to Peacock for the first four months of the “Pay 1 window,” then to Amazon Prime Video for the next months of the window, followed by four more months on Peacock. If our prediction for when Him will be on Peacock is correct, then you should see Him streaming on Prime around May 2026.

But the first place you’ll be able watch Him movie at home will be to buy or rent on digital platforms, followed by a streaming release on Peacock.

Peacock currently offers two subscription types: Premium with ads and Premium Plus ad-free. Peacock Premium costs $10.99/month, while Premium Plus costs $16.99/month.

You can save a bit by subscribing to one of Peacock’s annual plans, which give you 12 months for the price of 10. These cost either $109.99 with ads or $169.99 without ads.

Peacock Premium Plus is also available to subscribe to via Prime Video with a seven-day free trial that you can’t get by subscribing directly on Peacock.

Him is not yet streaming on Peacock. Right now, the movie is only in theaters, and the Him streaming release date on Peacock has not yet been announced. That said, we do expect to see Him streaming on Peacock eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another Universal horror release, M3GAN 2.0, will begin streaming on Peacock about three months after the movie opened in theaters.

If Him follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital in about a month, around October 2025, and streaming on Peacock around mid-December 2025. That said, other Universal movies have taken just two months to come to Peacock, so you may see Him on Peacock even earlier, around November 2025.

This is all speculation. Universal has not had a consistent digital release strategy. So it varies by title. If you want to watch the Him movie right away, your best bet is to catch the movie in theaters.
