Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash starring Ezra Miller is based on the DC Comics character of the same. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new superhero flick!
The story follows the Flash as he travels back in time to change the events of the past. However, when he gets trapped in an alternate reality, he relies on the help of his younger self and returning Batman (Michael Keaton) to save the world from General Zod.
So where can you watch The Flash? Is it on Netflix? What about Max?
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:
As of now, the only way to watch The Flash is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, June 16. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube and Apple or become available to stream on Max. Read on for more information.
Since The Flash is being distributed by Warner Bros., it will, indeed, join Max. However, unlike last year when the company would drop their movies on the streaming platform the same day they were released in theaters, we are going to have to wait at least 45 days before we can watch from the comfort of our living rooms.
While there is no official streaming release date yet, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, another Warner Bros. movie, was released in theaters on March 17 and didn’t make its way to HBO Max until May 23 — just over two months after it debuted. If The Flash follows the same trajectory, it’s possible we won’t be able to stream it until late August 2023.
No, The Flash is not on Netflix — and it likely won’t be any time soon, seeing as it is going to stream on Max. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a theater or wait for it to become available on streaming and VOD.
