Nothing like kicking off the work week with some Monday Night Football.
The 2024 NFL preseason began on Thursday, Aug. 8, with two face-offs: the New England Patriots vs. the Carolina Panthers, and the Detroit Lions vs. the New York Giants.
While the season does not officially start up until Thursday, Sept. 5, fans are already craving some Monday night match-ups.
So, is Monday Night Football on tonight? When is the first Monday Night Football game this season? Luckily, DECIDER’s got you covered. Keep reading for more info.
Sadly, Monday Night Football is not on tonight. In fact, Monday Night Football will not start until the real season is in full swing on Monday, Sept. 9, when the San Francisco 49ers will be hosting the New York Jets at Levi’s Stadium at 8:15 p.m. ET. You can tune in to the game on ESPN and ABC.
As reported by DECIDER last week, the main homes for Monday Night Football this season are ESPN and NFL+, but ABC and ESPN+ will also offer select games, too. You can check out the schedule below.

Those wishing to watch Monday Night Football live can check out ESPN, Watch ESPN, or the ESPN app with a valid cable provider login.
Live TV streaming subscriptions such as DirecTV Stream, fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, NFL+, or YouTube TV will stream Monday Night Football games, as well.
