Final Destination Bloodlines opens in theaters this weekend, marking the sixth film in the horror movie franchise. We can’t wait to see what new, irrational phobia those Final Destination freaks instill in us this time!
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination Bloodlines is a direct sequel to the fourth movie in the franchise, 2009’s The Final Destination. Kaitlyn Santa Juana stars as Stefani Reyes, a college student who realizes that she and her family never should have existed, because their grandparents cheated death. Now, that b–ch destiny is coming to claim her rightful victims.
Also starring Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and Final Destination mainstay Tony Todd, Final Destination Bloodlines promises even more elaborate, Mouse Trap-esque freak accidents. If there’s a loose screw or a spilled fluid in the Final Destination universe, it will result in an explosion. We can’t wait! Right now, Final Destination Bloodlines is only available to watch in a movie theater when it opens in theaters on Friday, May 16. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. However, we do expect the Final Destination Bloodlines movie to be on streaming eventually.
Final Destination Bloodlines is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Warner Bros. release, will have a streaming home on the Warner Bros.-owned streaming service, HBO Max. If you want to watch the new Final Destination Bloodlines movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on HBO Max.
All the new WB theatrical movies end up streaming on Max, though the wait period has varied by title. Companion, for example, was released on PVOD a little over two weeks after opening in theaters, and began streaming on HBO Max on April 18, about two-and-a-half months after it was released in theaters. If Final Destination Bloodlines follows a similar release pattern, you may see the movie on digital around June 2025, and streaming on Max around early August 2025.
That said, other WB movies, like Mickey 17 and A Minecraft Movie, took at least a month to come to VOD, and are not yet streaming on Max. So you may have to wait a little longer for Final Destination Bloodlines.
But that’s pure speculation. The Warner Bros. home releases have varied by title. If you want to see the new Final Destination movie ASAP, your best is to catch Final Destination Bloodlines in theaters.
