NextImg:Is ‘The Boogeyman’ Streaming on Disney+, Hulu, or Netflix?

Directed by Rob Savage, The Boogeyman is an upcoming supernatural horror film based on Stephen King‘s 1973 short story of the same name. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch it!

Sophie Thatcher stars in the film as Sadie, a teenager grieving the death of her mother, while her her father Will (Chris Messina) —  who’s a therapist —  does not give the needed support to his daughters. When a new patient shows up asking for help, they bring in a horrifying entity that preys on the reeling family.

So where can you watch The Boogeyman? Is it on Hulu? What about Netflix?

Here everything we know about the new movie:

As of now, the only way to watch The Boogeyman is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, June 2. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Prime Video, Apple and Vudu.

Since The Boogeyman’s distributor 20th Century Studios is owned by Walt Disney Studios, it’s likely that the movie will come to Disney+ or HuluHulu. However, it will more likely be on Hulu since it was originally intended to debut exclusively on the streaming platform.

West Side Story — a previous 20th Century Studios film —  was released in theaters on Dec. 21, 2021 before it became available to stream on Disney+ on March 2, 2022. If The Boogeyman follows the same trajectory, we should hopefully be able to watch from the comfort of our homes by early September 2023.

No, The Boogeyman will not be on Netflix since it is going to stream either on Disney+ or Hulu following its theatrical run. In the meantime, you can head out to theaters to watch this movie! Just maybe sleep with the lights on after.
