On Thursdays, we watch new episodes of Severance — or at least we did for the past 10 glorious weeks of our lives.
After Severance Season 2, Episode 10 premiered on March 20, the Apple TV+ series left fans on the edge of their seats wondering what the heck is in store for Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry), Irving (John Turturro), Milchick (Tramell Tillman), Gemma (Dichen Lachman), and the rest of the innies and outies associated with Lumon Industries.
So will another new episode of Severance premiere this week on Apple TV+? Has Severance Season 2 officially ended? And if so, when does Severance Season 3 premiere?
You’ve come to the right place.
Here’s everything to know about new episodes of Severance on Apple TV+, including how many episodes are in Severance Season 2, Season 3’s renewal status and premiere date, streaming info, episode count, and more.
Sadly, no. Severance‘s Season 2 finale, “Cold Harbor,” premiered Friday, March 21 on AppleTV+.

Though Severance Season 1 only featured nine episodes, Season 2 consisted of ten episodes.
Ppraise Kier! Apple TV+ renewed Severance for a third season on Friday, March 21.
“Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” said executive producer and director Ben Stiller in a statement. “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to get back to work with Ben, Dan, the incredible cast & crew, Apple and the whole Severance team,” Severance star and EP Adam Scott added. “Oh hey also – not a huge deal – but if you see my innie, please don’t mention any of this to him. Thanks.”
A predicted premiere date isn’t announced yet, but Stiller has publicly said he doesn’t want to keep audiences waiting three years this time, which sounds promising! During an interview on Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, Stiller said, “The plan is not to [wait three years].”
Stiller also offered additional context on the extended gap between Season 1 and Season 2, which included the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. “It took us a little bit to regroup, and the show, we shot for 186 days on Season 2. Editing takes a while, but thank goodness the audience was there when we came back,” he explained on the podcast.
While we’ll have to stay tuned for additional writing and production updates, with any luck, here’s hoping we can return to (Lumon’s) office some time in 2026, and definitely not 2028.
Until then, stay tuned for more Severance Season 3 updates and consider embarking on a rewatch.
