


Halloween brings a lot of tricks and treats for streamers each year, but for a younger audience, or fro those just a little too spooked by horror films, there are still options!
Room on the Broom, a 2012 animated short film adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s 2003 picture book of the same name, follows a witch (voiced by Gillian Anderson) and her cat (Rob Brydon). To the cat’s dismay, the witch picks up a dog (voiced by Martin Clunes), a bird (Sally Hawkins), and a frog (David Walliams), although they don’t all fit on the broom.
After a fiery encounter with the dragon (Timothy Spall), the animals must team up to save the witch from harm.
The 25-minute-long Oscar-nominated short narrated by Simon Pegg highlights themes of friendship and collaboration. Now, for those whose interest has been piqued, and who would prefer a family-friendly Halloween treat, read on to find out where to watch Room on the Broom.
