It’s a big week for fans of animated comedy. It’s been over 15 years since we were gifted with a new episode of King of the Hill. Thankfully, that’s about to change because Hank, Peggy, and Bobby return Monday, August 4 with ten new episodes on Hulu and Disney+.

King of the Hill isn’t the only big animation debut of the month. Long Story Short, a new animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman, drops August 22 on Netflix. The series stars Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Angelique Cabral, Nicole Byer, Dave Franco, and Michaela Dietz and has already been renewed for a second season.

Two new shows are on the horizon, but what about Rick and Morty? Is your favorite Adult Swim comedy airing a new episode tonight? Here’s everything you need to know.

The eighth season consists of ten episodes.

Nope. Adult Swim is re-airing the Season 8 finale (“Hot Rick”) at 10:30 p.m. ET, followed by Rick and Morty Season 8 reruns until 4:00 a.m. ET.

The first seven seasons of Rick and Morty are currently streaming on Hulu and HBO Max. Season 8 episodes are available to watch on the Adult Swim website.

All ten Season 8 episodes premiere Monday, September 1 on HBO Max and Hulu.

Yes! In 2018, Rick and Morty was renewed for a staggering 70 episodes by Adult Swim. Not only that, but Adult Swim renewed the series for two additional seasons in 2024. New episodes of the fan favorite series will air through 2029.

Back in June, we learned that Harry Belden and Ian Cardoni have already wrapped principal recording for the ninth season.
