Where to Stream:

NCIS

There’s no shortage of new shows on CBS, but we’ve been catching up with a few returning favorites.

On Friday, October 18, the network’s incredibly popular action drama Fire Country returned with new episodes, while Sunday night marked the season premiere of Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer. If you didn’t catch the new episodes live, both shows are available for next-day streaming on Paramount+ and CBS.com. But what’s on CBS tonight? Great question. You may as well call me TV because I’ll be your guide.

The network is delivering two hours of new NCIS content. Sadly, one show that isn’t on tonight’s schedule is the Vanessa Lachey-led NCIS: Hawai’i. What does the future hold for one of the NCIS franchise’s most popular spinoffs? Here’s everything you need to know.

The night begins with the season premiere of The Neighborhood and series debut of Poppa’s House from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET. New episodes of NCIS and NCIS: Origins air from 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET.

Nope. Unfortunately, after airing 54 episodes over three seasons, CBS canceled NCIS: Hawai’i in April 2024.

Per Variety, the series was axed due to cost (the series was shot on location in Hawai’i), ratings, and “cohesion across the network’s 2024-2025 schedule.”

“It is incumbent on us to always keep the schedule fresh, keep momentum going. We had to make some really tough choices this year,” CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach told reporters in May 2024. “Everything came back [from the Hollywood strikes] really strong, but ultimately we have to look at the cohesiveness of the schedule flow. We have to evaluate the financials and the performance overall, and we make tough decisions.”

All three seasons of the show are streaming on Paramount+ and available to buy on Amazon. You can also watch NCIS, NCIS: Sydney, NCIS: Origins, and NCIS New Orleans on Paramount+.
