NextImg:Is ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ Streaming on Netflix or HBO Max?

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner — so what better way to celebrate than by heading out to a movie theater to see Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse‘s campy new horror comedy, Lisa Frankenstein? Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch it!

From the writer of Jennifer’s Body comes Lisa Frankenstein, which follows a misunderstood teenager who resurrects a Victorian-era corpse and turns him into her dream man. Together, the “two embark on a murderous journey to find love and happiness,” according to the film’s logline.

Interested? Us too! So, where can you watch Lisa Frankenstein? Is it on Netflix? What about Max?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

As of now, the only way to watch Lisa Frankenstein is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, Feb. 9. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon, or becomes available to stream on Peacock. Keep reading for more information.

Yes, Lisa Frankenstein will eventually come to Peacock. While the platform hasn’t announced an official streaming release date just yet, we can make a guess based on another recent Focus Features film.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, which debuted in theaters Sept. 8, 2023, began streaming on Peacock Nov. 3 — exactly eight weeks after its theatrical release. If Lisa Frankenstein follows the same trajectory, it could become available on the streamer as early as Friday, April 5.

No, Lisa Frankenstein will not be on Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. The platform, previously known as HBO Max, also no longer does direct-to-streaming releases. Instead, they’ve implemented a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the Max release.

No, Lisa Frankenstein will not be streaming on Netflix, at least not any time soon. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a theater or wait for it to become available on Peacock.
