NextImg:Is ‘Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant’ Streaming on HBO Max or Netflix?

Directed, co-written and co-produced by Guy Ritchie, The Covenant is a new action thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Dar Salim. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this flick!

Taking place during the War in Afghanistan, the film follows U.S. Sergeant John Kinley (Gyllenhaal), who recruits Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Salim), who is seeking revenge after the Taliban killed his son.

When they’re ambushed and Ahmed goes to great lengths to save Kinley’s life, Kinley returns the favor when he later learns that Ahmed and his family were not granted safe passage to America, which they were promised. As a result, he goes back to Afghanistan to rescue his friend.

So where can you watch Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant? Will it be on HBO Max? What about Netflix?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

As of now, the only way to watch Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, April 21. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Prime Video, Vudu, Apple or YouTube.

While a digital release date for Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant has not yet been announced, we can make an estimate based on the last film distributed under Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Creed III was released in theaters on March 3, before it came to digital platforms on March 31 — about four weeks after its debut. If Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant follows the same trajectory, you may be able to watch from the comfort of your home by late May 2023.

No, Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. The company announced last year that they would no longer send their theatrical films directly to the streamer. Instead, they’ve implemented a 45-day window between theatrical premieres and HBO Max releases.

No, Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant will not be on Netflix — at least not anytime soon. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available on digital platforms.
