Six months after it first premiered at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival, Golda is finally coming to theaters near you. Luckily, we have you covered on how you can watch the Helen Mirren-led biographical drama.

Taking place during the Yom Kippur War in 1973, Golda follows Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir (Mirren) as she navigates “overwhelming odds, a skeptical cabinet and a complex relationship with U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (Liev Schreiber),” according to the logline.

As of now, the only way to watch Golda is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, Aug. 25. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon.

While a digital release date for Golda has not yet been announced, we can make an educated guess as to when it will release on platforms like Prime Video based on another film recently distributed by Bleecker Street.

Mafia Mamma, which came to theaters on April 14, officially became available to rent or purchase on May 2 — a little under three weeks after its theatrical release. If Golda follows the same trajectory, you might be able to watch it from the comfort of your living room by mid-September 2023.

No, Golda will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. While it’s possible the film may come to the streamer at some point in the future, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available on digital platforms in the meantime.
