ABC’s new Joshua Jackson on a boat medical drama Doctor Odyssey is, how to put this, a vibe. A weird, wonderful vibe. Look at a few of the titles from Hope Sloop’s terrific recaps: “Doctor Odyssey Episode 5 Celebrates Halloween On The High Seas With Bleeding Wolverines, Nocturnal Nightmares, and Trapped Tourists.” Perfect. No notes.
Let’s look at another one, shall we? The third episode of the series centered on “Human Ken Dolls, Cocaine Nose Jobs, And Gina Gershon.” Truly an unstoppable trio.
Doc Oddy is a fun addition to ABC’s Thursday night lineup. Grey’s Anatomy practices medicine by land, Doctor Odyssey by sea, and, next season, fingers crossed, the network will have a group of hot doctors solving medical quagmires in outer space.
