The crossover gods are blessing us this year, at least over at ABC, that is.
After January’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Abbott Elementary episode brought fun and laughs, it’s now Doctor Odyssey‘s turn to get in on the action, mashing up their dreamlike reality with the unending peril of another Ryan Murphy-produced dramedy, 9-1-1.
In the new episode, “Casino Week,” Angela Bassett‘s LAPD officer character, Athena Grant, will have to work with Dr. Max, (Joshua Jackson), Avery (Philippa Soo), Tristan (Sean Teale), and Captain Robert (Don Johnson) to accomplish a mutual goal and get Athena home. For those fans who have not watched 9-1-1, just know that Athena doesn’t have the best track record on ships and is most likely looking to get off as quickly as possible. But who exactly is Athena looking for? And will we soon see the Doctor Odyssey crew on 9-1-1? These are good questions that I don’t have the answer to.
But if you have been mentally checked out (or mentally checked in aboard The Odyssey) in recent days, no worries, I do have some answers you may be in search of. Here’s everything you need to know about the new episode of Doctor Odyssey…

Quite a bit! Ahead of the anticipated release, ABC dropped a description of “Casino Week,” teasing a special arrival and a chaotic time for the ship’s passengers.
“It’s Casino Week aboard The Odyssey, and unexpected guest Athena Grant suspects two passengers are targeting the ship’s vault. Enlisting Max’s help, Athena raises the stakes in a dangerous game where not everyone will end up with a winning hand,” it reads.
