Paging the Doctor Odyssey crew, your shift is about to begin!

Since November, fans of the ABC medical drama have been on high alert, awaiting the return of Dr. Max (Joshua Jackson), Avery (Phillipa Soo), Tristan (Sean Teale), and Captain Robert (Don Johnson). It’s been an agonizing three months for all of the Odyssey heads who became addicted to the show for its campy nature and procedural structure, only to have it take a long winter’s nap for a midseason break.

Luckily, the sun is about to shine again on the high season because the Ryan Murphy-produced series is finally set to sail with its ninth episode, “Shark Week,” and is promising one killer return. In fact, the story is so big that it just could not fit into one episode! More on that below…

If you are similarly in the camp of fans who cannot wait for the show to return, you might be wondering if tonight is the night it finally comes back. No stress, we’ve got you covered! Below, we’ve answered all of your most pressing questions related to Doctor Odyssey‘s return, including when it comes back, what the new episode is about, and how to watch the previous episodes in the meantime.

Sadly, no new episode of Doctor Odyssey will air tonight! But it won’t be long now until we’re back with our favorite doctor, nurses, and ship captain.

Doctor Odyssey returns with a brand new episode on Thursday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET. The episode will stream the next day on Hulu.

Quite a lot, actually! We know that Episode 9, “Shark Attack,” will be a two-part episode that plays out across two weeks. Both episodes will focus on a dramatic excursion aboard The Odyssey that leaves one of the ship’s own fighting for their life. Additionally, we will finally learn what Avery, Tristan, and Max decide to do about their unplanned pregnancy.

“Max and Avery are at a crossroads as Avery faces a difficult pregnancy decision,” a description reads. “Meanwhile, after Monroe is bitten by a shark, The Odyssey takes a dangerous detour to rescue a sinking boat, where a mysterious new passenger catches Max’s eye.”

While every episode of Doctor Odyssey has featured an impressive cameo from Ryan Murphy’s rolodex, we don’t know at the moment who will appear in the upcoming episode. Let your imagination run wild for the time being because it really could be anyone seeing as we’ve already welcomed Shania Twain, Bob the Drag Queen, Kelsea Ballerini, and more!

Yes, take a look at the selection of snaps from Episode 9 below.
