NextImg:Is 'Bad Boys 4' streaming on Netflix or HBO Max?

More On:

Will Smith

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is the fourth installment in the long-running Bad Boys franchise — and it comes to theaters this week. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new movie!

Starring Bad Boys veterans Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, Bad Boys: Ride or Die follows Detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, who turn into fugitives while investigating corruption within the Miami PD when their late boss is accused of having ties to the Romanian Mafia.

So, where can you watch Bad Boys: Ride or Die? Is it on Netflix? What about Max?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

As of now, the only way to watch Bad Boys: Ride or Die is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, June 7. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon, or becomes available to stream on Netflix. Read on for more information.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die will likely be on Netflix as a result of a deal inked between the streaming platform and Sony Pictures Releasing that gives the streamer rights to all the company’s theatrical films starting in 2022.

While a streaming release date for Bad Boys: Ride or Die has not yet been announced, we can make an estimate based on another recent Sony film. Thanksgiving was released in theaters on Nov. 17, 2023, before coming to Netflix on Feb. 17, 2024 — around three months after it debuted. If Bad Boys: Ride or Die follows the same pattern, we could be watching from the comfort of our homes by early September 2024.

No, Bad Boys: Ride or Die will not be on Max — previously known as HBO Max — since it’s not a Warner Bros. Discovery movie.
