She’s got beaus in different area codes.
Starly Santos revealed Tuesday that she has set a goal to date one man in every country until she has found Mr. Right.
According to the Florida native, her aim is to go on 100 dates around the world, not stopping even if she becomes smitten, reported the Sun on Monday.
Santos, 27, told the outlet that she always had the itch to travel and live as a nomad — and after getting her college education, found a job that let her do that.
“I was traveling. I was going on dates, naturally,” said Santos.
But it wasn’t until one of her friends said something about how her life was more interesting than anything on Netflix did the young woman begin to use social media to document her ultimate journey to find love.
Beginning her journey in February, the lover without borders has visited Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and America — using the money that she makes from selling cryptocurrency while the dates themselves are paid for by the men.
Santos said that she usually spends four or five days in one location and limits herself to one date to ensure that she reaches her goal — though she has said she doesn’t mind extending the trip if there is a connection.
“I was curious about where else in the world I could fall in love,” explained the 27-year-old. “Not just with the person but also the place. And I wanted to just do something unique while I was still young.”
The Post reached out to Santos for comment.
The savvy social media guru says that she won’t just date any man.
Santos claimed that any person that she is interested in must be from the country she is currently visiting with a few notable exceptions.
“So for example, the guy in Colombia, he was born and raised there, but then he moved to the US from like, 14 onwards, and we went to college together,” explained Santos. “But he’s still Colombian, so we have some sort of heritage tie.”
“The idea is to find someone local,” she added.
Another exception would be if she’s in a country where the idea of dating isn’t common.
“If I’m in a Middle Eastern country where the locals really don’t date because it’s not common in Islamic cultures, maybe I’ll see a foreigner who’s lived there for a couple of years or something like that,” she continued.
Santos said that all potential suitors must be ok with her filming the date and then posting it to her TikTok. If not, she refuses the date.
The jet-setting singleton revealed that communication is rarely a problem as most of the men she dates speak either English or Spanish and that all her dates know that she is only around for a few days.
“The line of thinking is that even if I do meet someone that I really like, I want to keep traveling,” proclaimed Santos. “We can stay in touch for at least a year. That’s kind of how I would know if it’s the real deal. If they’re serious about me, they can come to meet me in another country in that timeframe.”
According to the amorous explorer, two experiences stand out to her.
One experience came when she spent two days island hopping in Venezuela and the other came in Bombay when the man she was seeing at the time invited her out on a boat.
“He invited me to his birthday party, which was like on a yacht with his friends,” recalled Santos. ” And then the next day, we had a one-on-one.”
“We walked by the water at sunset and then we did ‘Harry Potter’ trivia because we’re both super nerdy, she continued adding so far Mr. Bombay has been her strongest connection yet.
Santos expects to sit through more than a few frogs before landing on her Prince Charming, as her date in Indonesia demonstrated.
“He was just a little too creepy. He was a little too touchy,” recalled the woman adding that within hours of meeting, the man brought up marriage and showering at her hotel which left her feeling anxious.
“Then the next day, after our date, he kept video calling me. I didn’t answer and he sent a voice note, cursing at me for not replying to him. He was just a little unhinged,” said the Florida woman. “I think all the guys want to touch or kiss or whatever because that’s how guys are. This one was just over the top.”
Despite wanting to spread the love, Santos said that she sees herself as “conservative” revealing that the most physical thing she has done with her dates is make out with Mr. Bombay.
“I’m obviously open-minded. But my mindset is I want to keep dating. I want to keep going,” stated the traveler.
Even though she loves her travels, Santos claimed she would like to settle down.
“I don’t want to do this for the next 10 years. Eventually, I want to find someone and get married and all that,” Santos said.
