His crown jewels were almost on display.
A famous King Charles lookalike has revealed that he was once asked to star in an X-Rated movie as the monarch ahead of his upcoming coronation ceremony.
Guy Ingle, 63, divulged the strange request in an interview with New! Magazine, according to The Mirror, as he reflected on some of the weirdest work engagements he’s ever been asked to do.
“One time, I was asked to appear in an X-rated film, much to my amusement,” Ingle told the outlet, per The Mirror.
“I laughed at the offer but politely declined.”
Ingle, who has been working in the entertainment industry since the 1990s, expressed his admiration for the royals.
“I’ve always had a great respect for the royals, so I’d never portray the king in a negative way,” he said.
The Post reached out to the royal family’s reps for comment.
Ingle has starred in other films appearing as King Charles, including the 2008 hit “Superhero Movie” alongside the late Canadian actor, Leslie Nielsen.
“I was treated like a star out there, limo trips and a five-star hotel to then be moved to an apartment in Beverly Hills,” he told Caters News Agency about the experience, citing it as his “best.”
Ingle said that in his early years, he faced a lot of rejections before he finally started to get some traction by doing royal impressions.
And although he was quite upset when Queen Elizabeth II passed away last September, Ingle told the news agency that his career has never been busier as he was no longer a “second-fiddle character.”
“The workload has quadrupled, but I never let myself get dragged into any inappropriate gigs as I’ve got far too much respect for the royal family to do so,” Ingle said.
Being a royal impersonator takes hard work. Ingle revealed in the New! Magazine interview that he has to do a lot of research about King Charles — even studying his latest pictures and videos to make sure he’s got the body language down.
He said that getting ready to become the king is just like any other acting job and that it takes him 20 minutes to transform into the monarch, complete with a nearly-$500 hairpiece.
“I have the same approach for majority of my gigs as King Charles,” he explained to Caters. “I get my agents to give me info on the person who’s booked me and what the event is so I can tailor the routine.
“I learn the script and get my costume ready, I practice my lines whilst in getting the makeup done and then arrive at the venue in plenty of time.”
Since he is so recognizable, the wannabe-royal avoids taking the tube as he often gets stared at or even asked questions.
But looks like Ingle better gear up for this weekend, as King Charles’ coronation ceremony will be happening on Saturday, May 6 at the Westminster Abbey.
On the list of attendees includes King Charles’ son, Prince Harry, who has seemingly been at odds with his family over the past few years.
He will attend the ceremony without his wife, Meghan Markle.
On Tuesday, the Buckingham Palace went on lockdown after a man was carrying and throwing suspicious items onto the grounds.
