NextImg:I wanted a Sprite soda can tattoo but it ended in disaster — I still love the final result

Soda flop?

A man’s attempt to get the name of a popular pop brand tattooed on his arm backfired horribly after it spelled a word with a far less sweet meaning.

According to a Reddit post, the unnamed body-art recipient wanted o the word “Sprite” tattooed on his arm, only for the artist to accidentally ink “Spite” on an illustration of a soda can.

“I love my spite can,” quipped the Redditor, whose tat-astrophe had forum users in hysterics.

Many said they actually liked the typo, which evoked a biting meme or T-shirt slogan.

“That can of spite has charm, though,” said one commenter, while another wrote, “I think the spite can is pretty nifty.”

The original poster also encouraged his fellow Redditors to share other “garbage tats” they love, prompting a flurry of responses.

Some of the wilder ones included an inverse mermaid with a fish head and human legs, an amorphous blob inspired by the recipient’s childhood cat, and a snail that looked like a child drew it.

While certainly awful, those catastrophic ink jobs don’t hold a candle to some of the terrible tats people have been bestowed with.

In December, a woman’s attempt to get her lips tattooed backfired horribly after her kissers ballooned to monstrous proportions — to the point where her husband wouldn’t come near her.

Meanwhile, one TikTokker was left looking like she had two eyebrows over one eye after letting her friend anoint them with ink.

And last summer, a Taylor Swift super fan was blasted for getting a “tacky as hell” back “Tay-too” that showcased numerous song and album titles by the pop star.

Perhaps nothing compares to one woman who got a full face tattoo against her will, which has reportedly prevented her from landing a job.
