Livin’ la vida flawless.
I’m not a full-coverage foundation gal — or rather, I wasn’t. Despite testing what might be an embarrassing amount of different formulas over the years as a beauty writer, I always found them chalky, drying or a shade unlike anything close to my skin. That is, until now.
Luckily, I scored an advance sample of the brand-new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation, which hits shelves today. And in that golden bottle, I found something completely different — makeup that dreams are made of.
Although it has a matte finish, Airbrush Flawless Foundation has the light-reflecting magic the brand is revered for, and provides a seamless blend on skin sans irritation or caking.
As someone who typically wears sheer formulas, there was a little learning curve on my part, but it’s so easy and natural-looking that I wear it daily now — not just for evenings out as I thought I would.
Like a real-life filter, imperfections and texture disappear. Sun damage? Out of sight and out of mind. Once applied, it’s weightless, and even after all-day wear, not a crease or color shift in sight. To my astonishment, instead of exaggerating fine lines (like foundation usually does), it blurs the look of them. Flawless skin is now my flex.

Did I mention it’s completely water-, transfer- and sweat-proof? Airbrush Flawless Foundation will undoubtedly become my go-to makeup for special occasions. Available in warm, cool and neutral undertones in 44 shades, it promises 24-hour wear.
It usually takes half a pump (!) of product for my whole face. Per the brand’s guidance, I start with moisturized skin and apply from the center of my face, brushing outward. It’s such a seamless blend that sometimes I can’t see where the foundation ends — even in my car’s rearview mirror.
It can also be mixed with moisturizer for a more sheer look. It’s especially nice to use with the brand’s Nudegasm Face Palette to add a little contouring and glow to your cheeks and jawbone.

I ended up going with my usual 5N shade from the brand; it looked a little dark in the bottle, but it adapted to my skin and blended perfectly.
With repeated wear, I have not experienced any clogged pores either, which has happened in the past with other brands. (Airbrush Flawless Foundation replaces the previous Tilbury formula of the same name, but it’s completely new.)
Charlotte Tilbury also dropped two other beauty heroes today: the new Airbrush Flawless Matte Setting Spray and Life Changing Lip Mask.
The setting spray builds on the bestselling original formula, but adds shine control; oily and combination skin types and lovers of a matte look will rejoice at this launch, but it’s also a great pairing for the new foundation.

The Life Changing Lip Mask is a super-moisturizing lip balm that comforts lips, is addictively softening and comes in posh packaging you’ll want to show off on your nightstand.
It’s available in clear or a sheer Pillow Talk shade, and restores elasticity and volume to lips.

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a dozen years since Charlotte Tilbury launched her namesake brand, setting a new gold standard in makeup — but if anyone would make the ultimate flawless, long-wearing, red-carpet-worthy foundation, it’s certainly her. Don’t miss the latest drops from the iconic brand!
