Her something borrowed left someone blue.

A British woman has gone viral after revealing that she met the love of her life — the man she donated her kidney to — while she was getting married to someone else.

Kerry Swinton spilled to South Western News Service that she met her now-fiancé Mark Taylor, 52, on her wedding day in 2011.

“I thought he was kind but never imagine he’d end up being the love of my life with one of my organs,” Swinton, 46, said.

Taylor, a long-time friend of the groom, stopped by to offer congratulations to the newly-wedded couple with his then-wife.

“I’ve known Mark a long time and I always liked him,” gushed Swinton to the outlet. “Mark had dated my ex’s sister.”

“He was lovely,” continued Swinton.

Sadly, Swinton’s first marriage was not meant to last; After three years of being together and having a child, the couple filed for divorce in 2015.

Throwing herself into her new life as a single mom and four years of short-term relationships, Swinton decided to call it quits on dating and focus on herself.

”I wanted to focus on me and my life for a change,” she said. “I threw myself into work and also decided to take up the piano again so I bought an old affordable one on Facebook marketplace.”

The only issue with her purchase was that it required someone who was much stronger and had a bigger car than Swinton to move it.

As fate would have it, Swinton, who was browsing the web looking for help to move the instrument, stumbled upon Taylor’s moving service.

Deciding to reach out to her former husband’s friend, Taylor took the job and delivered the piano a few days later.

”We had a nice catch-up,” recalled Swinton. “We spoke about relationships and he mentioned that he was seeing someone.”

”We had a nice catch-up and that was that,” continued Swinton. “I always liked him, but never thought he was single.”

"He asked me on a date, and we had a lovely day together," gushed the single mom adding that the flowers Taylor had gotten her "were beautiful."

A week later, Taylor reportedly reached out to Swinton and the duo began talking “nearly every day.”

Swinton revealed that eventually the man asked her out and showed up at her home with flowers.

In 2021, Taylor's health began to decline due to a genetic disorder that led to polycystic kidney disease (PKD).

“I could tell immediately I would fall for him,” giggled Swinton.

After seeing each other for a few years, Swinton and Taylor decided to move in together.

In 2021, Taylor’s health began to decline due to a genetic disorder that led to polycystic kidney disease (PKD).

Swinton, knowing that both of his parents died from the genetic disease, offered to test to see if her kidney would help save her boyfriend and was later told that she was indeed a match.

According to the Mayo Clinic, polycystic kidney disease is when clusters of cysts develop primarily within a person’s kidneys, causing the kidneys to enlarge and lose function over time.

Things took a turn on Boxing Day 2021 when Taylor was rushed to Queen’s Elizabeth Hospital after suffering a constant nosebleed.

It was there that doctors informed Taylor of his diagnosis and immediately put him on a dialysis machine.

After undergoing a four-hour procedure to save the love of her life, the doctors were able to successfully transplant the kidney.

Swinton, knowing that both of his parents died from the genetic disease, offered to test to see if her kidney would help save her boyfriend. She was later told that she was indeed a match.

“The chances were so slim,” recalled Swinton. “To think that after finding each other after all those years and to be a match.”

Taylor later commented that he “cried my eyes out” when he heard the news.

"I never thought the man I met at my wedding would be my perfect match," simpered Swinton. "He had my heart and now he's got my kidney."

“I knew the chance she was taking to save me,” said Taylor.

“I never thought I would ever donate a kidney,” stammered Swinton. “It’s very surreal.”

“I thought he was kind but never imagine he’d end up being the love of my life with one of my organs.”

“But I saw how much it was affecting his everyday life,” she continued. “He could barely walk without being in pain.”

The pair spent the next six months recovering together at their home.

“I never thought delivering a piano would get me a kidney,” said Taylor adding that he owes his fiancé “the world.”

“She’s giving me another chance at life,” added Taylor.

According to the lovestruck, they plan to wed in 2024.

“I never thought the man I met at my wedding would be my perfect match,” swooned Swinton. “He had my heart and now he’s got my kidney.”
