He’s taking a page out of Justin Bieber’s playbook, telling his ex to go and “love yourself.”

A TikToker has shared the heartbreaking gift she received from her ex-boyfriend of seven years after dumping him, and while some people applauded him for wishing the creator the best, others suspect it may be a ploy to get her back.

“I dumped him after 7 years and he gave me this gift,” the creator, who goes only by Rachel, wrote on a TikTok clip posted this week, which has since scored more than 13 million views.

The video features footage of Rachel unwrapping the gift, pulling it out of a heart-patterned bag and unearthing it from the layers of pink and red tissue paper. Inside, there was a note and a self-help book, “Fall in love with yourself: The ultimate guide of self-empowerment and self-love” by Angel Guadia.

“I know you don’t love me anymore. Love yourself now,” read the note signed by “Kev.”

Viewers fawned over the bittersweet gesture, some urging Rachel to take him back, while others championed the ex-beau’s strength to let her go.

“This is genuinely what ‘I wish you the best’ looks like,” commented one person.

“That’s a strong person who gave you that book,” agreed another.

“It’s giving ✨reverse psychology✨,” chided someone else.

“Well go get him back now,” implored one viewer.

While Rachel admitted that the split “hurts,” she is in the middle of reading the book, which is helping her heal, “ironically.” However, she added, “men always wake up when it’s too late.”

In a subsequent clip posted a day later, the TikToker revealed that the “fatal mistake” that caused her to lose seven years to her ex was that she loved him more than she loved herself.
