She’s a real glow-getter.
UK-based skincare influencer Elle McNamara, who goes by Bambi Does Beauty online, is sharing how she makes herself look 23, not 33.
She claims her five-step routine doesn’t involve Botox or fillers, but rather relies on fine-textured hydrating mists, retinol, hydrating serums, sunscreen, and double cleansing at night.
In her 13-second TikTok, which has drawn 2.1 million views since it was posted in November, McNamara wordlessly breezes through her regimen as she shows a pic from her 20s to underscore the difference in her skin.
“Someone get this gal a warm, damp flannel and some cleansing balm because this is ‘makeup wipe face,’ you know, where it’s like textured bumpy skin. You’ve got spots in weird areas,” McNamara said as she reshared the flashback image in a follow-up TikTok with 590,000 views.
“I had them around my hairline,” she said of her pimples and dark spots. “Those are the biggest indicators you’re not removing your makeup properly.”
These are McNamara’s top tips for looking 10 years younger.
McNamara often shares her beauty hacks with her 462,000 Instagram followers and 278,000 TikTok acolytes.
She told Elle UK that she didn’t get into skincare until she was 26.
“You can start a regime at any age,” McNamara said in the 2021 interview. “It’s just about being conscious that your skin is your largest organ and it needs looking after. As you get older, you can start to focus on specific skin concerns.”
Her latest advice comes amid claims that Gen Zers are aging worse than millennials, thanks to injections, fillers and vapes.
