Paranormal genes.
Erica Russo, a Connecticut mom of two and psychic medium, revealed her 9-year-old son Kyle has “psychic and intuitive abilities” just like her — but sometimes “negative energy” keeps him up at night.
Russo, 36, discovered her son’s abilities when he was four years old and saw him talking to someone who was not physically there.
She dismissed the strange encounter and logged onto Zoom for a client’s psychic reading. During the meeting, she felt the presence of her client’s deceased son, which is typical for relatives to appear in readings.
“When I spoke to Kyle outside [after the reading], he said he had been speaking to a boy who was here to see his mom,” Russo said.
“My jaw just dropped,” she admitted. “That’s when I found out my son was a medium.”
“I think he would be a great psychic medium one day,” the mom gushed.
Unlike her son, who learned about his supernatural powers at a young age, Russo developed her spiritual connection in 2017 when “spirits began to show up.”
She started communicating with people from the dead by entering a “meditative state” and predicting the future. Even if the spirits do not directly speak to Russo, she can feel their presence, guiding her to what they are trying to convey.
The business mentor always noticed her son’s sensitive manner, which she also exhibited as a child. But admits Kyle is “highly attuned” compared to most children, who she believes are empathetic to spirit energy.
However, “negative energy” from a spiritual presence has crept into the nine-year-old’s dreams on some nights, making it hard for him to sleep.
His mother recounts a dream he had about his grandmother catching COVID-19, and three days later, she was diagnosed with the illness.
“I’ve felt like in my dreams people are talking to me but nobody is there — I hear voices and I talk to them,” Kyle said.
The afterlife connections don’t happen often for the child, but his mother knows about most encounters.
“I know he’s open to receiving psychic information,” Russo adds. “I won’t push him if he doesn’t want to learn anything more about it.”
Russo offers mentorship for those seeking interest in developing their spiritual intuition and a $30,000 course focused on unlimited energy sessions.
She describes mediumship and psychic as two different practices, “a psychic perceives, a medium receives”. A medium connects with someone in the spirit world, while a psychic predicts the future.
While Kyle’s mom has knowledgeable about paranormal activity, he admits it took him some time to believe in his ability to communicate with spirits.
“I wasn’t really afraid because I didn’t really believe in ghosts,” he shared.
“I remember someone talking to me, but nobody was there, so I just kept responding. It was really weird,” he continues. “But I’m not afraid.”
