She’s the Mrs. Frizzle of DIY.

A woman was tired of rising rent prices, so she decided to live in a school bus instead.

Dani Danielion bought a school bus on Facebook Marketplace, spending months looking for the perfect bus to convert into her perfect home.

She found an old yellow school bus and took out all the interior to have a blank space for her to work with — and it took her over three years to complete.

Danielion started designing with the floor plan, putting her bed at the back of the bus and a kitchen and bathroom behind the driver’s seat.

In the kitchen, she put in an induction hob, sink, fridge and cupboard, and the bathroom had a shower and a hidden toilet.

Her double bed had a cozy feel with fairy lights strung up around it, as well as a skylight to star gaze and enhance the ambiance.

She installed solar panels on the roof of the bus to make sure she always had energy no matter where she went.

She kept it insulated with a DIY spray foam to keep her warm during the cold winter season.

Danielion did the renovation all by herself, and three years later, she’s on the road living in her dream home.

“This was by far the hardest thing I’ve done, but so worth it because now I get to live comfortably, rent-free, wherever I want,” she said.

She posted a series of photos documenting the conversion to TikTok in a video that has garnered 11.4 million views and 1.5 million likes.
